Christina Kruse, born in Hamburg, Germany, is a New York–based artist working primarily in sculpture and wall-based constructions. Her work examines tension, containment, and structural balance through calibrated relationships between materials such as stone, bronze, wood, hydrocal, springs, color, and line. The forms often appear resolved yet remain open, holding states of compression, instability, and equilibrium in suspension.

Earlier in her career, Kruse worked across photography, collage, and performance, including the three-part performance Dystonia. She received the GLAAD Award for Best Emerging Artist in Photography, and her work has been exhibited across America and Europe.

Kruse began exhibiting sculptural works in 2019, and the upcoming exhibition will mark her third solo presentation in New York dedicated to sculpture.
